It’s Friday!! All week we have been highlighting each individual of our brand new team, in hopes that you would be able to “meet” and “get to know” these incredible people that much better! Today is our last introduction, but it’s so different than the rest! Everyone, I’d LOVE to share that Kamesha has officially joined our team!!
Meet Kamesha | Our Lead Design Associate
(Slayer of all the Pretty Things + Team Chaplain)
Guys, I am so very excited to introduce Kamesha as a member of our team!! She and I meet at our local Rising Tide Society Meeting! After our meeting, she and I continued to talk about the group discussion, and ended up talking for 2 hours in the Newport News City Center parking lot! We talked about our passions for what we do, our families, our hearts for servicing others, and didn’t even realize how much time had passed until it was too dark to see outside. I remember getting home, literally skipping into my living room, and telling Josh, “Babe! I just made a new friend!” I think what’s been so awesome about our friendship is that our passions, hearts for marriage, and our faith aligned so well! She’s also assisted me with many weddings, provided lots of advice on how to enhance a gorgeous experience, and has been a really incredible source of strength and encouragement in my life! I am so honored to call her my Sister in Christ and one of my best friends, and am EXTREMELY EXCITED to call her HCE’s Lead Design Associate!
Kamesha is the owner of her own amazing business, Ava Loren Design, and provides meaningful, polished, curated wedding experiences for her own clients (her website launch is coming so soon, friends!). Last year I took the plunge to start design weddings outside of my comfort zone, and planning and designing larger scale events to dazzle my couples and my guests. But I quickly realized that I couldn’t do it alone while also being a good steward of my marriage, my family, and my faith, and asked for help from Kamesha! She dove right in, helped to make some gorgeous wedding visions come to reality, and while doing so, we chatted about this possibility of joining forces, realized it was an amazing fit, and sprung into action to make it happen! She assists in the conceptualization, implementation, and crafting of memorable experiences for our couples through gorgeous wedding design!! I call her “the slayer of all the pretty things” on our team because she does just that and is so amazing at helping to make even the smallest detail an essential puzzle piece to the love story we hope to celebrate for our HCE couples! She is also a self taught floral designer and will assist us as we continue to make stunning blooms for our couples. When she’s not designing weddings and working with our team, she is spending time with her husband, Derek, who is her high school sweetheart of EIGHTEEN years, their handsome Corgi, Cody, enjoying lunch dates with friends, playing with fresh flowers (of course), and celebrating life’s most cherished moments!
Join me in celebrating our partnership and a true testimony of “Community over Competition,” by welcoming Kamesha to our team! Enjoy her mini interview below to get to know her a little more!
